Kaffee und Kuchen for Macmillan

We raised £150 last week for Macmillan Cancer Support during our European Week of Languages!

Year 7 & 8 students competed to win prizes and congratulations go to winners Daisy Cronin in 7 Montfort, who correctly named the bear ‘Diego' and gets to take him home, and Alice Reynolds in 8 Ward who won a jar of 243 sweets by guessing the correct number - in Hungarian!

Year 9 German students stayed after school on Wednesday to bake Victoria sponges and lemon cakes and Languages staff baked at home and brought in cakes for our ‘Kaffee und Kuchen' morning at Friday break. The Year 9 pupils manned stalls selling cakes, biscuits, tea, coffee and hot chocolate to staff and pupils - and made £110 that morning!

Everyone who took part in our languages activities had fun and also worked hard to raise money for a very good cause, so thank you and well done!
