Spectacular Sixth Form Performance!

Last week saw the publication of the DfE 16-18 Performance Tables for summer 2016 results.

The key performance measure now used post-16 is a value added score, to measure progress from students' start points upon entering Sixth Form.

For A Level qualifications, St Julie’s Sixth Form was ranked 6th in the city out of 30 providers, putting us in the top third of state-funded Sixth Forms nationally
For Applied General qualifications (Applied A Levels and Level 3 BTEC) ST Julies Sixth Form was ranked 3rd in the city out of 24 providers.

For the second year running, we are the only school in the city to be ranked in the top 6 both for A Level and Applied General progress. Our progress score for students resitting English GCSE was the best in the city.

Resit Maths GCSE progress score was above the average for the city

The most recent destinations data is for students who left in 2014. 92% of our students who left that year remained in education or employment for at least 2 terms, above the average nationally (88%) and for Liverpool (86%)

This represents phenomenal all-round achievement by the 2016 cohort and all staff who were involved in teaching and supporting them in their time throughout school, of a type not replicated by any school in the city. This is another reminder of the many reasons why continuing their education at St Julie's post-16 should be the only option that students are considering!
