A Specialist Language College


Our teaching of Languages all takes place in a single building with nine fully equipped classrooms with interactive whiteboards and an ICT suite. The building also features our 'Market Street' which allows students to recreate a European shopping and cafe experience in different Languages.

ICT for All


We have invested heavily to ensure that all students at St. Julie's can access fast and reliable ICT services for both personal and group learning. Every classroom has at least one computer which is networked to our robust servers. Group working spaces include six fully equipped ICT suites that sit alongside our three Learning Resource Centres to offer over 375 machines for learning.

Our home/school links are bolstered by our VLE that allows students to continue their learning at home, with access to the same learning materials used during VLE sessions in school.

Sports Resources that Get Results!


Within the school campus we have seven outdoor tennis courts/netball courts and a green field. We also enjoy the use of the very large fields of Camp Hill directly adjacent to the school. Indoor resources are equally good, with a large purpose built sports hall and a fully equipped gymnasium sitting alongside our Fitness Suite that hosts a range of exercise equipment.

Our sustained success on the sports field shows that we have the resources to create and support national standard teams.

Expressive Arts Facilities That Develop Confidence


Our resources in the Expressive Arts are headed by our purpose built theatre with retractable seating, full theatre lighting and a 32 track PA system. The theatre is used regularly as a creative learning space as well as hosting numerous events and performances throughout the school year.

In the same building we have a very spacious music room with three separate practice rooms, and three art studios including extensive textiles facilities and our own kiln for firing ceramics.

Our Expressive Arts facilities also boast a spacious dance studio with dedicated changing facilities.

Year after year our students capitalise on the potential of these facilities to win trophies in many disciplines across the Arts.

Designing and Making in Technology

Technology facilities in St. Julie's support the popular and diverse curriculum, and range from a fully equipped resistant materials workshop with engineering equipment through to our graphics room with CAD/CAM facilities.

We have a spacious food and nutrition room with multiple kitchen stations and a textiles room equipped with digital sewing machines.

Science Labs for all Disciplines


Within our Science resources at St. Julie's we have nine laboratories, with dedicated areas for Physics, Chemistry and Biology to meet the needs of all of our students right through to the most challenging A level work.

Personal Learning

Outside lessons we recognise that it's important to support personal learning, and this is reflected in our recent investment in a brand new whole school Learning Resouce Centre equipped with 45 networked PCs and generous learning spaces around our School Library collection.

We have a separate Sixth Form Resource Centre to meet the learning demands of our older students, also equipped with networked PCs and comfortable work areas.

Dining at St. Julie's - a chance to relax and socialise

We understand that to maintain concentration during the busy school day it's important that Lunch should be a comfortable, relaxed and unhurried meal. To support this we have two large dining rooms served by our independent school kitchen that prides itself on a varied and tasty menu offering excellent value for money.

Gathering Our Community Together

Our sense of community is very important to our school identity, and we support this by using our collective spaces. Our theatre is regularly used for assemblies, and is augmented by our Chapel Conference Room, a large multi purpose area with ICT and audio facilities. We have recently invested in facilities that enable our Sports Hall to transform into a comfortable carpeted room with a vast capacity, used for services, large assemblies and whole school events.
