St. Julie's Catholic High School

On March 28th 2012 our school celebrated the 161st anniversary of the Sisters of Notre Dame beginning their profoundly important teaching work in the City of Liverpool. If you think now of the great legacy that the Sisters of Notre Dame have left here in Liverpool; Mount Pleasant Training College, Notre Dame High School, Mount Pleasant, which then joined Notre Dame Woolton in the 1960s, Notre Dame Training College which was one of the three Colleges that formed Hope University, Notre Dame Everton Valley, Notre Dame Woolton which was later to become St. Julie's Catholic High School, you begin to think of the thousands of families who have been touched by that vision which began here 161 years ago from a small event which has since sent thousands of students out into the world, educated the Notre Dame way.

On Monday 31st March 1851 the Sisters of Notre Dame started teaching in their first school, St. Nicolas's, and so began the thread which was to eventually connect so many of us together today.

It is important to our school to retain our heritage, continue the good work and live out our mission statement for many years to come. To this end we are delighted to announce the launch of our new St. Julie’s Alumni Network Programme which aims to link former Notre Dame Woolton and St. Julie’s staff and students. The aim of the programme is to enable former students and staff to meet at occasional alumni meetings, share memories of past and present as well as to provide a valuable link for our current students via guest speakers and presentations from former staff and students. Sharing your wealth of knowledge and experience in order to inspire our next generation of Notre Dame students is something we value.
