Faith Garden Officially Opens
Last week, we celebrated the blessing and official opening of our Faith Garden. We were joined by past and present staff, Sisters of Notre Dame and some of our pupils from Years 7 and 8 who have been involved with the Faith Garden since the very begining.
It was a simple but thoroughly enjoyable ceremony. As we said prayers for all aspects of the garden and the school, the sun was shining down upon us and helped us to really appreciate all the hard work that had gone into creating such a beautiful and tranquil space. With particular thanks to Mr Radburn, head of Design and Technology, and the Dig-It club for all their efforts. We gratefully accepted a lovely statue that was a gift from the Sisters of Notre Dame and now takes pride and place in the garden.
The garden is inspired by the major faiths of the world, and incorporates elements designed by our Dig-It club, who were also involved in the planting and installation. Now complete, the garden will be a peaceful area accessible to all students for both personal reflection and group activities working with our school Chaplain and other members of staff.
